better value to get the qualities of shea butter *Be cautious of black specks. I found black specks of different sizes in this size of shea butter. No, they were not visible until I scooped some out to make different personal formulas in which I found a few black specks here and there. I use this shea butter for my hair and skin, including my lips. It may or may not be mixed with other ingredients, either way, the shea butter gives moisture to my skin that lasts. Initially, I had tried the 8 ounce shea butter but that wasn't enough for the multiple uses I desired, so this product size is the better choice. If you like the qualities of yellow shea butter, then this one is it or if a larger size becomes available, then go ahead with that one.

Afrikan Republic Shea Butter I have been using this Shea Butter since November '08 and it has made my skin so smooth and healthy looking, my skin has a nice glow. I smooth it on my wet skin after a bath/shower. It's better than lotion.

Golden Shea Butter My skin is so bad and dry. I make my own bath soap by mixing a generous amount into a good bath soap and even put a dab in the bath water. Love the way my skin feels after this treatment. Also mix it with coconut oil and emu oil and use as a lotion on face and body.
