Afrikan Republic Shea Butter is a creamy, very high quality Shea Butter. Produced using traditional methods and made using shea nuts gathered in the wild, this is an unrefined Shea Butter - meaning it retains the healing and restorative power often processed out of a more refined Shea Butter.

A highly refined shea butter is usually white and no longer has the characteristic smoky smell of unrefined shea butter. (the characteristic odor disappears as the shea butter is worked into your skin or hair)

I have had a problem with cracked heels and shea butter has worked so well keeping my feet smooth and has kept them from cracking much better than other products I have used. 80 out of 185 people found the following review helpful Shea Butter To our A.R. fans: Know that real/unrefined Shea Butter should "always" have a color range from a tan to a slight grayish yellowish.(no chemicals used) In order to get all the benefits from its healing properties, this is top notch! It should also have a nutty aroma to it.(smell it)Nothing more, nothing less. Having used this S.B., it can't get any better than this. Way to go Afrikan Republic!!! 358 out of 740 people found the following review helpful the best Shea around! you know this SB is the real deal as soon as you unscrew the lid. the consistency is perfect (if you're looking for "creamy" then unrefined SB is not for you!) and it melts into your skin in about a minute, as it's supposed to. the scent is very light and pleasant (IMO!). a little goes a long way and I love the way it makes my skin feel after application: smooth and irresistably supple. and on top of all that pure goodness, it's very healing; with regular use it smoothes scars and evens out skin tone. years ago I purchased from Afrikan Republic and I have no idea why I've ever strayed. I feel like I've come full circle with skin care products! Excellent customer service, excellent product, you can't go wrong here!
