What the difference between Golden Afrikan Republic shea butter and the Afrikan Republic Shea Butter?
The Golden Afrikan Republic Shea Butter is yellow in color and comes from the West African nation of Ghana.

The Afrikan Republic Shea Butter is a beige or slightly olive color and comes from the West African nation of Togo.

The Golden Afrikan Republic Shea butter is yellow because of the variety of shea nut used to make this shea butter.

The Afrikan Republic Shea Butter from Togo is a very high quality shea butter produced using very consistant processes. While the Golden Shea Butter is often shipped in large gourds, called calabashes, the Afrikan Republic Shea Butter from Togo is shipped in plastic bags and there is no chance of the chance piece of  calabash to enter your shea butter.

Another difference between the products is that the Afrikan Republic Shea Butter from Togo is melted and poured into jars while the Golden Shea Butter is hand packed. Melt and pour makes the shea butter a bit harder to work with at first.

If your shea butter is hard due to melt and pour preparation or just because it's cold when it's shipped you can warm and soften your shea butter just by placing it in a warm (not hot!) spot, putting the shea butter container in some warm water or just by working it with your hands. Over time it should become softer and easier to work with.
